Cedele Depot

I knew I was going to lay my hands teeth on a cedele cake anytime. I have passed by it too many times to ignore the beckoning from the cakeys.

Chocolate Truffle Cake (8/10)

This is a popular recommendation made by most floggers. And because chocolate's my favourite too, I didn't take long to choose.

I say this is nice! I find 'mousse-like mixture' (as described by Ice) too overwhelming though. In terms of quantity. I prefer a thicker biscuit crumble. >_<

Price
$7.30 for the cake set which comes with tea

Place
Vivocity

Coffee Club

Chocolate Mango Blend (3/10)

I would not have ordered something like this if I saw the name first. But alas, I saw the picture on the menu first. I am a visual person, remember? The 3 points were for the chocolate shavings which could never go wrong on almost anything.

Iced Rambutan (8/10)

Nice, smooth, sweet. Ahh.... just like the feeling of a teenager in love. *daydreams*

Price
$14.90

Place
Marina Square
#02-311

A great place to rest your feet after hours of shopping, have a chat with a small group of friends or simply to chill out with your buddy. Just make sure you choose the 'right' drinks. :P

Cedele Depot

I have always wanted to try the cakes at Cedele Depot after I read about them at Cheryl's blog. I knew that the chances of me visiting this place are very slim because my hub doesn't like cakes and stuff.

Much to my delight, I managed to convince my hub into having a tea break at Cedele on Saturday. He can have the sandwiches while I have the cake. Brilliant!

The cakes were beckoning me, and yet, for some strange reasons, I decided to order a sandwich combi meal instead. BAD choice. :( Sorry, cakeys... I will make sure I won't miss out on you the next time, I promise. >_<

Wild Mushroom Soup (5/10)

Rosemary Chicken Sandwich (6/10)

Bacon and Mushroom Omelette Sandwich (7/10)

Harmony River Vegetarian Kitchen

Fried Rice (6/10)

Fish and Chips (9/10)

The fish was so good, it really tasted like the real one, no kidding. The portion of the fish was so small, though, that I wonder if it is meant for a small kid. :P

Price
$12 plus for the above and 2 fruit juice

Place
Blk 161 Bukit Merah Central

I will definitely return the fish and chips... that is, if I want to have some snacks. :P

Organic Cafe Xperience

JN and I had just so much to talk about, we know we have to meet again. Poor JN was caught up at work, so while waiting for her, I had ample time to do some shopping and explore Novena Square 1 & 2 thoroughly. It was fruitful as I managed to get christmas presents for all my sisters. One less thing on my very long to-do list... :P

When JN arrived, I suggested that we go 'park' ourselves somewhere instead of shifting to another place for dessert after dinner.

All the talk about organic food has gotten me curious. I asked JN if we can go to Organic Cafe Xperience, as I have read a few good comments about this place and she readily agreed.

Carrot Soup (8/10)
I thought that was one good soup and a good change from the usual corn/chicken/mushroom soup. The vegetables on top of the soup broke the monotony of the all-carrot flavour. Anybody care to enlighten me on what this vegetable is called? It's always spotted in organic dishes, somehow...

JN and I were pretty undecided over what to choose for the main course. Both of us couldn't decide between the Grilled Chicken and Fish and Chips as they looked equally good. It was like a minute later that we realised that we can actually share the two main courses! ^-^>

Fish and Chips (8/10)
Not too bad. I like the crumpy crust of the fish.

Grilled Chicken (8/10)
The sauce was good. This photo tells pretty much eh?

Our dessert (8/10)
You can't go wrong with a chocolate ice-cream... :) oh, unless you are talking about KXXX's ice-cream. :P

Service
üüüüü
Their waitresses/waiters are friendly but too on the ball, clearing plates and showing our bills when we are not ready to leave yet. :P

Ambience
Typical cafe

Price
$$$$$
$15.90++ for set meal of soup, main course, dessert and drink. Pretty value for money

Place

Rocky Master

I have read on the forum about how particular my gown designer is about punctuality, so I repeatedly told my hub that we have to be there early. And yes, indeed, we were early. We were there at 1045am for a 1130am appointment. Just how kiasu are we! >.<> Since we were early, we decided to have our breakfast at Rocky Master at Level 1.

Taste
Pottie Pie (Mushroom and Chicken) 8/10
It's as nice as it looks! A bit too difficult to manage the crust though. It was all over the table, my lap and the floor when I cut through it. So unglam. :P

Ambience
A good place for a quiet chat or just to watch people passed by the walkways of Orchard Road.

Service

üüüüü
Not too good. The waitress were too engaged in their chatting that they gave me a knife (instead of a spoon) and a fork to have my pottie. :(

Price
$$$$$
$20 for American breakfast, Pottie Pie and a cup of tea.

Place
Orchard Delphi
Level 1 (just next to the entrace of the building)
